A word from Dr Claire
So often a parent leaves my rooms with the science clear, and the hard part still ahead of them. The patch at home, the school run, the tears at bath time. That is exactly why I am in the Brave Eye Club myself, so you have somewhere to ask the small questions between appointments, and to see, plainly, that your family is in very good company.

Common questions

The things parents ask before they join.

Yes, completely. There is no fee to join and there never will be. It is part of how KiDS EYES supports families between appointments. No cost, no catch, no upsell.

Not at all. The club is open to any parent or caregiver of a child with an eye condition, wherever you are and whoever your doctor is. You do not need to be a KiDS EYES patient.

Both. First and foremost it is a community of parents supporting each other, and Dr Claire is in there too. She drops in to answer questions, share the occasional tip, and post the odd invite. You get a specialist in the room, not just a comment section.

Just read if you prefer. Plenty of members never post a word and simply take comfort in seeing they are not alone. Post when you are ready, or never. Both are welcome.

Yes. Patching is only one part of it. Glasses, squints, appointments, school worries, or simply the shock of a new diagnosis all belong here. If your child's eyes work a little differently, you are in the right place.

The Club is the free community where parents support each other day to day. The newsletter is Dr Claire's practical tips landing in your inbox. Patch to Progress is the paid, step-by-step course for families who want structured guidance on patching for children with lazy eye and other conditions that need patching. Start with the free two, and add the course if and when you want it.

They are used only to send you KiDS EYES emails, and WhatsApp messages if you gave a number. We never sell or share your details, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Our Privacy Policy has the full detail.
